Tagline is one type of marketing strategy that people including film makers use to attract 'customers'. So, here are my random favourites of movie taglines.
1. Titanic - Nothing on earth could come between them.
Quite the irony; nothing on earth could separate them but the sea water did, at least physically.
2. Alien vs. Predator - Whoever wins, we lose.
Pessimism never sounds this good, especially when we talk about losing.
3. Cobra - Crime is the disease, meet the cure.
If you ever committed a crime, you are the disease. But, the cure could be as deadly as the disease itself.
4. The Ring - Before you die, you see.
Does the movie refer to the Grim Reaper or there's something more sinister that we shall see before we die?
5. Mars Attack - Nice planet, we'll take it!
As some people on earth would quietly say, "Nice country with oil, we'll take it."
6. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original) - Who will survive and what will be left of them?
Perhaps no surviving hero or heroine in this movie, just their body parts hehehe...
7. Kill Bill 2 - The bride is back for the final cut.
It makes you wonder what it is that the bride wants to cut.
8. Predator 2 - He's come to town, with a few days to kill.
Those who are familiar with the premise would know that 'he' literally does have a few days to kill.
9. Matrix Revolutions - Everything that has a beginning has an end.
Unfortunately the ending is not as great as the beginning.
10. A Bug's Life - An epic of miniature proportions.
The two words, 'epic' and 'miniature' have contrary meanings. Intriguing enough!
